REIKI

REI (Spiritual Wisdom) and KI (Life Force Energy).

Reiki is a Japanese technique, a therapy often described as palm healing or hands-on-body healing in which a practitioner places hands lightly on or over a persons body. The Reiki practitioner channels life force energy through his or hers hands unto another.

Because Reiki is a stress relief and relaxation technique, it helps relax and calm the receiver which helps the receiver to heal on all levels, mind, body and spirit. When the body is relaxed and relieved of stress the body’s natural healing abilities can start doing their job. Reiki respect free will, it will not heal us unless we invite it to do so. This requires that we be willing to change. We would have to look at unhealthy personal qualities within ourselves, and be willing to let go of them. This is essential if we are to move forward with our personal healing.

Reiki does not replace medical care. Reiki is considered to be a complementary modality. It works in conjunction with, not against traditional medical care. I advise that clients who are receiving regular Reiki sessions (either by me or by themselves if they know how to do Reiki) let their doctor know if they are under medical care.

Sometimes after receiving a Reiki session, some people might experience physical symptoms such as a runny nose, colds, diarrhea, or stomach aches, body aches, or headaches. This is happening (not to everybody) because healing changes are taking place in the body. Reiki can also affect a person emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Reiki works for the highest and greatest good and does no harm, so consider having a session today or better still find a Master near you and learn how to do Reiki.

Being able to channel Reiki is a wonderful gift and one that should be respected. It is something that anyone can learn how to do. Don’t let anyone tell you that you have to be special to do Reiki. That awesome universal life force energy is there for anyone to access and it’s unlimited!
